SACRAMENTO, Calif. – California Attorney General Jerry Brown says he's in no rush to decide whether to run again for the governor's office that he held three decades ago.

Brown told reporters Saturday during the state's Democratic Party convention that he's too busy protecting Californians from mortgage scams, enforcing workers' rights on overtime pay and advocating for the state in prison litigation.

If he decides to run next year, the 71-year-old politician would give his party a clear contrast against the younger and less-experienced Gavin Newsom. The 41-year-old San Francisco mayor announced his candidacy this past week.
