2 small planes violate Obama airspace

LAS VEGAS, (UPI) -- Two small planes violated airspace restrictions put in place Friday morning for President Barack Obama's trip to Nevada, officials said.

F-16 fighter jets escorted both planes to nearby airports, CNN reported. The fighters were under the command of the North American Aerospace Defense Command.

Obama visited Nevada to campaign for U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., and to give a speech on the economy at the University of Nevada at Las Vegas.
