Twisters hit North Dakota, Minnesota
TYLER, N.D., Tornadoes touched down in North Dakota and Minnesota Saturday evening, causing property damage but no reported injuries, officials said.

Greg Gust, a National Weather Service meteorologist, said one twister hit about 6:25 p.m. near Tyler, N.D., and another was spotted shortly after near Campbell, Minn., The Forum in Fargo, N.D., reported.

At least two farms sustained damage and power lines were reported down in the region.

Wilkin County Sheriff Tom Metejka told the Wahpeton (N.D.) Daily News Al and Mary Kosel of rural Campbell returned home to find their house and three tractors destroyed, and a garage and pickup truck simply gone.

The tornado's path was visible for about a mile, the newspaper said.

Richland County (N.D.) Chief Deputy Gary Ruhl said David Langenwalter and his son survived unscathed when a tornado roared by their rural Tyler home by waiting out the storm in their basement but the house was damaged.

Officials were to do a more thorough assessment of the storms' damage Sunday.
