Twelve people remain missing, according to the RIA Novosti news agency.

A local official said a pregnant woman is among the dead, according to state media.

Torrential rains in mountainous areas caused rivers to overflow, flooding more than 20 villages, RIA Novosti said. About 300 people, including 70 children, were evacuated.

The situation in the flooded area has stabilized, and people are returning to their homes, state media said Sunday.
