BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- What would Col. Sanders think?

A KFC marketing campaign that uses women's backsides as billboards is sparking debate over whether it exploits women or is just a fun way to advertise on college campuses.

The campaign for KFC's new bunless sandwich enlists female undergraduates at Indiana University and two other colleges to wear sweat pants that have the words "Double Down" across the rear.

The students hand out $5 KFC coupons to promote the sandwich.

The "billboard girl" gets $500 for the work.

IU officials told The Indianapolis Star the university was never contacted by KFC and expressed dismay over the campaign.

KFC spokesman Rick Maynard apologized to anyone who is offended by the campaign but said response has generally been positive.
