The brother of a State Senator was seriously hurt Tuesday morning, the victim of a hit and run at a South Side polling place.

The accident happened just before 6 a.m., at 4030 S. Archer Avenue, where a polling site was being set up.

The victim is identified as Martin Munoz, 40, the brother of State Sen. Antonio Munoz (D Chicago).

Witnesses say he was hit by a speeding driver who flew through an intersection.

An elections investigator chased down the vehicle, and was able to get the license plate.

The car was found, but so far, no charges have been filed.

Martin Munoz was in surgery Tuesday, for head and leg injuries.

He had been on his way to vote.
