A Toronto police officer with 21 years of service has been charged with two counts of harassment.
Sgt. Raymond Meech was arrested Friday and is accused of harassing a woman, police said in a news release Monday. The relationship between Meech and the woman he is alleged to have harassed is not immediately known, although he was off-duty at the time of the incident, police said.
Police have not revealed her identity.
Meech works in the police's 11 Division, which encompasses the Roncesvalles, High Park, Parkdale and Swansea neighbourhoods in the west end.
He is scheduled to make a court appearance on Jan. 12 to face the charges.
