LOS ANGELES ( KTLA) -- A big rig hauling Christmas trees overturned on a freeway transition ramp in downtown Los Angeles Friday, forcing the busy ramp's closure for several hours.
The accident was reported around 4:38 a.m. along the northbound 101 Freeway connector to the southbound 110 Freeway.
The truck was carrying some 42,000 pounds of Christmas trees, according to CHP officials.
Cleanup was expected to keep the ramp closed until at least noon.
The driver suffered minor injuries.
No other vehicles were involved.
