Montreal police are investigating after a 43-year-old man was arrested following a shooting in the city's Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie borough.
Police say a 28-year-old man is in hospital after he paid a visit to his ex-girlfriend's apartment at about 2 a.m. Monday morning.
Neighbors heard gun shots, and police were called to the scene.
"It seems he was knocking on the door. At a certain moment, the door opened. A shot was heard. The man was injured to the leg," said Montreal police Const. Daniel Lacoursière.
Lacoursière said the victim immediately left and fled to a neighbouring building before being taken to hospital.
He said the man's life is not in danger.
