A mother and her child were taken to hospital on Friday afternoon after being struck by a vehicle as they crossed the street in the city's east end.
The 26-year-old woman and her three-year-old son were crossing Carlaw Street at the corner of Queen Street East when they were hit by a taxi making a left-hand turn.
Police say the woman is pregnant.
Both the mother and the child were taken to hospital for observation, though their injuries are not believed to be serious.
