Common, Serena Williams split
NEW YORK, (UPI) -- Actor/rapper Common and tennis champion Serena Williams have ended their two-year relationship, blaming busy and conflicting schedules, sources say.
Representatives for Common, 38, whose real name is Lonnie Rashied Lynn, Jr., and Williams, 28, had no comment, UsMagazine.com reported Saturday.
The busy careers of each were behind the breakup, a source said.
"They are two workaholics who couldn't see each other enough," the source explained. "Things happen."
Just two weeks ago, Common gushed about Williams during a television interview, the New York Daily News reported.
"Serena's a great woman. She's a beautiful woman and an incredible person," the Chicago rapper said.
Asked in the interview about possible wedding plans, Common said, ""I definitely want to get married. I want to get married and have kids."
