Order and Notice of Case Dismissal - Buzz Satellite


This miscellaneous case relates to a litigation in United States District Court for the Southern District of California wherein Plaintiffs E*hostar Satellite, LLC, et al. are suing Defendants Viewtech, Inc., et al. for unlawful interception and distribution of Plaintiff’s encrypted satellite transmissions (Case No. 07-CV-1273 W (WVG), S.D. California).

On February 16, 2010, Plaintiffs filed a miscellaneous case in this district court, asking the Court to order one of Defendants’ distributors, Mauri Obrodo, d/b/a Buzz Satellite, to respond to Request No. 15 of a Rule 45 subpoena Plaintiffs served on Ms. Obrodo on or about June 16, 2009. Request No. 15 asks Ms. Obrodo to provide documentation sufficiently
identifying those persons who purchased or otherwise acquired Viewsat receivers (manufactured by Defendants) from her and/or Buzz Satellite during the period of January 1, 2004 to the present.

The Court held a teleconference with Plaintiffs’ counsel and Ms. Obrodo on February 19, 2010, at which time Ms. Obrodo agreed to comply with Request No. 15 by providing appropriate responses no later than March 15, 2010. The Court so orders this compliance. Accordingly, this miscellaneous case is hereby closed.

IT IS SO ORDERED.

more True FTA receiver buyers are going to be happy some were scare about this even do they only use there receivers for True FTA ....
