'Glee' honored by TV critics
LOS ANGELES, Fox TV's hit series "Glee" has been named program of the year and outstanding new program by the Television Critics Association in Los Angeles.

"Glee" star Jane Lynch was cited for individual achievement in comedy while Julianna Margulies won the award for individual achievement in drama for her role in the CBS series "The Good Wife," Saturday night.

It marked the first time women took home both top TCA acting awards, the Los Angeles Times noted Sunday.

ABC's "Modern Family" was honored for outstanding achievement in comedy while ABC's "Lost" and AMCs' "Breaking Bad" tied for the outstanding achievement in drama award.

The Discovery Channel's "Life" won outstanding achievement in news and information, the youth programming award went to "Yo Gabba Gabba" on Nick Jr. and HBO's "Pacific" won the award for outstanding achievement in movies, miniseries and specials.

During the ceremony at the Beverly Hills Hilton, the TCA honored "MASH" with its heritage award and acknowledged the career of James Garner with a special achievement award.
