I bought an ati radeon hd 5670 graphics card, it only has an HDMI port but I don't have an HD monitor to spare to hook up to this pc. Are there any work arounds? besides buying a converter what can I do? Thanks!

Even if your monitor is an 8 year old CRT, it's probably still technically "high definition" Standard Def is 640x480 resolution. You' have go back 15+ years to find a monitor that didn't support at least 1024x768. But to answer your question, yes the video card will work fine. The card will have more than just an HDMI port on it. It will have at least a DVI head as well as the HDMI, and it should've come with a DVI to VGA adapter
