For some reason, every time I click on the windows Media Player icon, it says:"Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the time."But...if I open something through "Open with...Windows Media Player" . It works. What's wrong and How can I fix it?BTW, I have a Windows 7 . I'm guessing it's a Windows Media Player 12, but I'm not too sure. Thanks in advance!

The shortcut may be messed up. Right click on the icon and hit properties. Make sure you're really pointing to the actual windows media player program file...

Try deleting the shortcut on your desktop and making a new one. If that doesn't work, you could also try to reinstall Windows Media Player.-- RyanWindows Outreach Team
