The sole winning ticket for the $50-million New Year's Eve Lotto Max jackpot was sold somewhere in Ontario, according to the province's lottery corporation.
Of the 21 MaxMillions $1-million prizes up for grabs Friday night, eight were won, with three of those winning tickets sold in Ontario, and three purchased in the Prairies.
Another two MaxMillions prizes will be split by ticket holders in Ontario and B.C. — each of the four tickets is worth $500,000.
The jackpot for the next Lotto Max draw is an estimated $23 million.
