Afghanistan-bound tankers come under fire
ISLAMABAD, Pakistan, Four oil tanker rigs were gutted after coming under attack while heading toward Afghanistan to deliver supplies to NATO forces, officials said.
An attack party opened fire on six tankers, setting them on fire as they were passing through the Pakistani city of Quetta, carrying oil and logistical materials, the English-language Pakistani newspaper Dawn reported Friday.
Officials said gunmen attacked the trucks when drivers stopped at a hotel.
