Bench warrant for Lohan's arrest dropped

LOS ANGELES, (UPI) -- An arrest warrant issued after Lindsay Lohan missed a court date Thursday has been rescinded, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said.

Lohan's lawyer Wednesday confirmed the "Mean Girls" and "Freaky Friday" star would be unable to make the court date because she had lost her U.S. passport while attending France's Cannes Film Festival.

The hearing was set up to see if the 23-year-old actress has been complying with the terms of her probation for a 2007 drunken driving conviction.

Sheriff's Department spokesman Steve Whitmore told UsMagazine.com Lohan paid 10 percent of her $100,000 bail and the warrant was dropped.

The court hearing was rescheduled for Monday, Whitmore said.
