The Montreal borough of LaSalle is telling some of its residents to boil their drinking water.

Water quality tests on Thursday showed some anomalies in the west-end of the borough.

The boil-water advisory is in effect for people living in a zone bordered by Saint Patrick Street, Lapierre Street, Newman Boulevard, Radisson Street, Upton Street, 80th Avenue and LaSalle Boulevard.

The city says residents can still use the water for washing.

The advisory will likely be in effect until Monday when new tests results are expected. People are being asked to boil their water for one minute.
