No one was injured when school bus carrying 30 students was involved in an accident Thursday afternoon in Antigonish.

The school bus was at the intersection of Highway 104 and Church Street when a car hit the bus just before 3 p.m.

The car blew a tire, lost control and hit the bus, according to the Strait Regional School Board.

The students were from Antigonish Education Centre, St. Andrew Junior High School and Dr. J.H. Gillis Regional High School.

A replacement bus was sent to the scene and students were delayed about 15 minutes.

The board is investigating.
