A Boeing 747 cargo plane skidded on the runway at Sea-Tac Airport near Seattle Monday afternoon, the Federal Aviation Administration said. No injuries were reported.

The plane was arriving from John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York, FAA spokesman Mike Fergus told CNN.

The aircraft landed about 100 feet too far down the runway, according to an airport spokesman. It was towed back across the line, he said.

It was not immediately clear what caused the incident, though the Seattle area experienced snow showers throughout the day.

"It didn't come off the concrete, but technically it did go past the line," said Perry Cooper, the Sea-Tac spokesman.

Air traffic was not affected, Cooper said.
