Chenoweth in 'Promises' to grow
NEW YORK, (UPI) -- Kristin Chenoweth has joined TV's Sean Hayes to star in the Broadway revival of "Promises, Promises," saying it would allow her to grow as an actress.
"At this point in my career, as an artist and as an actor, I'm looking to grow and be different. I'm not looking to reinvent myself, because I'll always be me," the actress told The (Oklahoma City) Oklahoman. "But if I didn't do something different, I could see myself becoming stale. I decided that 'Promises' would allow me to grow the most."
Faced with a number of career choices, the Oklahoma native and Broadway veteran told the newspaper, "At this point in my career, as an artist and as an actor, I'm looking to grow and be different. I'm not looking to reinvent myself, because I'll always be me. But if I didn't do something different, I could see myself becoming stale. I decided that 'Promises' would allow me to grow the most."
