DICKSON, Tenn. – A former tractor dealership most recently used as a restaurant in Dickson County was destroyed after it caught fire Wednesday morning.

The call at the building, located just to the east of Dickson on Highway 70E, went out at about 5:30 a.m. and fire departments from several neighboring communities responded.

Crews managed to contain the fire but the building is a total loss.

The owner told News 2 there were as many as six classic cars from the 50s and 60s era in the building's garage.

They were also destroyed.

The owner said the building was originally a Massey Ferguson tractor dealership in the 1970s before it was later turned into a 50s style restaurant.

Crews had the fire out by 10 a.m.

They were preparing to salt the road due to the excessive amount of water so the road could be reopened.

What caused the blaze remained under investigation
