DISH Network to announce 14 future HD additions launching in 2009

DISH Network, which fell short of its own goals for adding HD channels last year, is about to announce the addition of 14 new channels. When they'll be added is not known, but the official announcement is expected Thursday.
There are a number of notable additions on DISH Network's radar, some of which aren't yet available anywhere else. The list includes BET, Comedy Central, CMT, Crime & Investigation, Fashion TV, FX, MTV, Nickelodeon, SHOTO, Showtime Extreme, Showtime HD (West), SPEED, Spike TV, and VH1.
