Easton Sports bicycle seat posts recalled

WASHINGTON, -- About 200 Easton Sports bicycles have been recalled because they have seat post clamps that could fail, causing riders to fall, a U.S. safety agency says.
The bicycles with 2010 EC90 Zero seat posts were imported from China by Easton Sports of Scotts Valley, Calif., and sold at bicycle shops nationwide from April through August for between $150 and $200 apiece.
The clamp on the top of the bicycle seat posts can crack, posing the risk of a fall to the rider, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said in a release announcing the voluntary recall.
The EC90 Zero posts are black with a red and gray printing of EC90 on the side.
Though no injuries or accidents were reported as a result of the defective parts, consumers were advised to stop using the bicycles and contact an authorized Easton Sports dealer for a free replacement seat clamp.
