Favre, Vikes coach meet in Mississippi
HATTIESBURG, Miss., Minnesota Vikings Coach Brad Childress met with quarterback Brett Favre Monday as the signal-caller decides whether to return next season.
WDAM-TV, Hattiesburg, Miss., broadcast footage of Childress conversing with the 40-year-old signal-caller at a passing camp for high school footballers in the city.
The broadcaster reported that when Childress was asked why he visiting with Favre, he answered, "You can fill in the blanks."
Favre has not indicated whether he will come back for another campaign with the Vikings, whom he led to the NFC Championship Game last season.
He underwent ankle surgery in the off-season, and his ability to recover from the procedure may be what ultimately affects his decision, many pundits have suggested.
