Fire engulfs former home of 'Survivor'
INDIANAPOLIS, May 9 (UPI) -- The former Indianapolis home of "Survivor" winner Rupert Boneham was among several destroyed by fire, officials said.
There were no injuries in any of the Saturday blazes -- most at vacant homes -- but one family was burned out of their home and moved to a shelter, the Indianapolis Star reported Sunday.
A first set of overnight fires destroyed neighboring houses on the city's east side, firefighters said.
The next fire, early Sunday morning, was at the vacant two-story north side duplex where Boneham lived before winning "Survivor," the Star said.
The fire had spread to a home occupied by a family of five by the time firefighters arrived at the scene.
A mother, her four children and their pets all escaped unharmed.
