The Ford F-350 is among 5,000 trucks which are being recalled in Canada.

Ford and Chrysler are recalling several models of popular trucks, SUVs and crossovers to fix a variety of problems.

About 5,000 Ford F-150, F-250, F-350, F-450, F-550, Ford Edge and Lincoln MKX vehicles are being recalled in Canada. In those vehicles a body control module may short out and cause a fire.

Chrysler is recalling 4,000 Dodge Ram 4500 and 5500 vehicles made between 2008 and 2011 because of the possibility that a ball stud on the tie rod can fracture causing the vehicle to lose steering control.

The automaker is also recalling 2009 Dodge Journeys because wiring in the door can break and disable the side airbag. In Canada, 16,700 vehicles are being recalled.

New Ram 1500 trucks are also being recalled because the rear axle bearings could seize causing the vehicle to stall. In Canada, 14,600 vehicles are being recalled.

The Canadian recalls involve about 35,000 vehicles, while the U.S. recalls cover about 150,000 vehicles
