Guns stolen from Oshawa home

Durham Region police say 11 guns have been stolen from a residence in Oshawa, east of Toronto.

Police say a homeowner on Windsor Street discovered Wednesday morning that the guns, including eight rifles and three handguns, had been stolen.

Ammunition and jewelry are also missing.

The stolen guns include a Mauser 1948 Yugoslavian short rifle, a Colt semi-automatic rifle and a CZ Tactical semi-automatic rifle.

Police say all of the guns were registered and properly stored.

Investigators are appealing to the public for information about the thefts.
