'Heathers' concert planned for September
NEW YORK, A concert version of the new musical adaptation of the iconic 1988 film "Heathers" is to have its New York debut at Joe's Pub in September, Playbill.com said.
Andy Fickman is directing and producing the concert, which features songs from the musical sung by performers expected to be announced shortly and backed by a band, the Web site said.
The movie "Heathers" starred Wynona Ryder and Christian Slater as high-school rebels who terrorize popular, mean-spirited girls played Shannen Doherty, Lisanne Falk and Kim Walker.
An opening date for the stage musical based on the film has not been announced.
