Is an ATI Radeon HD 2400 Pro a good card for the price?

I'm on a tight budget for upgrading my PC, and I found the ATI Radeon HD 2400 Pro on Tiger Direct for like 40 bucks. I've only got like 80 bucks, and I'm gonna need about 20 or 25 of that to buy some more memory. I'm just curious if it's a good card.

depends.. all gfx are the same its just the memory on them that makes it the best.. on how much it can support...Anything with ~128mb will work successfully for games like WoW.If you intend to use a game as demanding as Crysis your going to have to kick it up a notch and get a 256 or 512.:]

its a mediocre card, not a great card for gaming might improve paired with a second one with crossfire but you'd be further ahead with a Nvidia. ..but if your running an AMD cpu you'll gain a bit of a boost also consider getting a card with more memory and more pipeline eevn if you have to save a bit more to get it you'll be happy in the long run

The memory size of the card is not the most important factor. Other things such as memory bus and type are important factors. If you have 512 MB of GDDR2 then its not going to be top notch. And also, try not to by anything with a memory bus lower than 128 bit. For the price, the 2400 Pro is a pretty good card. You may want to also look at the 3000 series cards or wait a couple weeks for the 4000 series to come out.
