Jim Carrey to host SNL's 2011 opener
NEW YORK, -- NBC says Jim Carrey will host the first 2011 episode of Saturday Night Live.
The band Black Keys will provide the musical accompaniment on Jan. 8, the network said.
The Hollywood Reporter said Saturday that Carrey, who stars in the new film "I Love You Philip Morris," last hosted SNL in 1996. The Black Keys will be making their first appearance on the venerable series.
The final SNL of 2010 airs Saturday with Jeff Bridges and Eminem atop the marquee.
