Lady Gaga takes show to Yankee Stadium
NEW YORK, (UPI) -- The New York Yankees say pop star Lady Gaga is officially blackballed from the team locker-room after making an unannounced visit that turned into a spectacle.
The New York Post said Sunday that Yankees co-Chairman Hal Steinbrenner was reportedly outraged at Lady Gaga's outrageous behavior in the clubhouse after Saturday's game against the cross-town Mets.
The Post said the 24-year-old singer apparently smooth-talked her way into the restricted area with a few of her girlfriends after the game and spent about 30 minutes mingling with the team.
It was no ordinary pop-in, the Post said. Gaga was dressed in a half-buttoned Yankees jersey and fishnet stockings. She also knocked back swigs of Irish whiskey and reportedly had some slurred-speech issues.
Lady Gaga's growing penchant for New York baseball has gotten her in the headlines before. Although she apparently behaved herself during Saturday's game, she was captured on film at Citi Field earlier this month making an obscene gesture with one hand and holding a beer in the other during a Mets game.
