Man charged in threat against Ariz. Rep.
PHOENIX, (UPI) -- A federal grand jury has indicted a Phoenix man on charges of threatening U.S. Rep. Raul Grijalva, D-Ariz., U.S. prosecutors said Monday.

Justin M. Haynes, 31, was charged with one count of threatening a U.S. government official, the U.S. Attorney's Office in Phoenix said. The indictment accuses Haynes of calling Grijalva's Tucson office in April and threatening to "blow the brains out" out of Grijalva, as well as his congressional staff, the Phoenix Business Journal reported Monday.

Grijalva, a high-profile opponent of Arizona's new immigration law, has supported calls for a tourism and economic boycott of Arizona in reaction to passage of the law.

Haynes, if convicted, could face as much as 10 years in prison or a $250,000 fine, the newspaper said.
