PHOENIX, Mark Reynolds belted a three-run homer to pace an 18-hit attack and the Arizona Diamondbacks pounded the New York Mets 13-2 Monday.

Reynolds ended 3-for-5 with four RBI while Mike Montero and Adam LaRoche each had three hits and drove in a run for the D-backs, who scored four times in the first inning and went on to win for only the third time in 13 games.

Justin Upton and Gerardo Parra contributed two RBI apiece and Ian Kennedy (5-7) limited New York to one run in a five-inning start to collect the victory.

Mets starter Mike Pelfrey (10-5) lasted only 1 1/3 innings after being rocked for six runs on seven hits.

Jose Reyes had two hits and drove in a run for the Mets, who fell 5 1/2 games behind Atlanta in the National League East.
