MLB: Colorado 4, Washington 3 (2nd game)
DENVER, (UPI) -- Back-to-back homers from Carlos Gonzalez and Seth Smith on Saturday lifted Colorado to a 4-3 win over Washington and a sweep of a doubleheader.
Smith also hit a go-ahead RBI single in the seventh inning to help the Rockies notch their second win Saturday and third in four games overall.
Colorado downed Washington 6-2 in the day's first game, a makeup contest for Friday night's rain-out in Denver.
Jason Hammel (1-2) pitched well in his first start after coming off the 15-day disabled list with a strained groin. He yielded three runs on six hits over seven innings, striking out seven.
Manny Corpas pitched a scoreless ninth to notch his first save.
The Nats were led at the plate by Adam Dunn's homer.
