MLB: Colorado 8, Chicago Cubs 7
DENVER, Troy Tulowitzki drove in a pair of runs Sunday as the Colorado Rockies took an early five-run lead, then held on for an 8-7 victory over the Chicago Cubs.

Tulowitzki put the Rockies ahead to stay with a run-scoring double in the first inning and made it 6-1 on an RBI groundout to cap a four-run outburst in the next frame as Colorado swept a three-game series from the Cubs at Coors Field.

Dexter Fowler added two hits and an RBI for the winners.

Jorge de la Rosa (4-3) limited Chicago to three runs on eight hits over 6 2/3 innings for the victory.

The Rockies' bullpen, however, barely hung on. Closer Huston Street surrendered three runs in the ninth, with two of them coming on Marlon Byrd's triple.

Cubs starter Carlos Silva (10-5) lasted only four batters. He was removed from the game due to an undisclosed illness -- the third time in four starts Silva has failed to pitch beyond the second inning.
