KANSAS CITY, Mo., (UPI) -- Cy Young Award winner Zack Greinke picked up his first win of the season Thursday in the Kansas City Royals' 6-4 victory over the Cleveland Indians.

Greinke (1-4) gave up three runs and eight hits over six innings in getting his first win in eight starts this season. He needed help from three relievers, including Joakim Soria, who picked up his eighth save of the season.

The win was just the second in Kansas City's last 11 games.

Alberto Callaspo had a 3-run home run in pacing the Royals offense that beat David Huff (1-5). Huff was touched for nine hits and all six Kansas City runs over 5 2/3 innings.

Cleveland got to Greinke for three runs in the third inning with a two-out rally in which Austin Kearns, Jhonny Peralta and Matt LaPorta each drove in runs.

But Callaspo tied the score with his home run in the fourth and Kansas City took the lead in the fifth when David DeJesus and Bully Butler delivered two-out, run-scoring hits. An RBI double the next inning from Yuniesky Betancourt made the score 6-3.

Cleveland got within two runs in the eighth with Asdrubal Cabrera, who had three hits, getting the RBI.
