DENVER
(UPI) -- Randy Wolf pitched seven solid innings and the Milwaukee Brewers scored five ninth-inning runs Sunday to dispatch Colorado 6-1 in an inter-league game.
Wolf allowed only three hits and four walks, but ended with a no-decision after taking a 1-1 tie into the eighth.
The Brewers broke the game open an inning later, exploding for five runs against against Manuel Corpas (1-4). Corey Hart and Rickie Weeks each socked two-run doubles and Prince Fielder chipped in with a run-scoring double of his own in the outburst, which enabled the Brewers to avoid a three-game sweep at Coors Field.
Trevor Hoffman (2-4) earned the victory with a scoreless eighth.
Starter Aaron Cook pitched well for the Rockies, holding Milwaukee to one run on three hits over seven innings, walking four and striking out five.
Brad Hawpe hit a solo homer for Colorado's only run.
