MLB: N.Y. Mets 4, San Fran. 3 (10 innings)
SAN FRANCISCO, Ike Davis doubled home the go-ahead run in the 10th inning Sunday, sending the New York Mets to a 4-3 victory over San Francisco.
Jason Bay delivered a two-out single off Brian Wilson (2-1) and Davis followed by driving a pitch high off the right center-field wall, driving in Bay and salvaging one win for New York in a four-game series at AT&T Park.
Davis also doubled home a run in the eighth inning to give the Mets a 3-1 lead, which closer Francisco Rodriguez (3-2) subsequently blew in the bottom of the ninth when the Giants used a two-run Travis Ishikawa single to send the game into extra innings.
The Giants looked like they had won the game in the ninth when Ishikawa broke from third and slid home on a Freddy Sanchez grounder.
The throw from Mets third baseman David Wright was high and catcher Henry Blanco's tag appeared well late, but home plate umpire Phil Cuzzi called Ishikawa out at home.
Mets starter Johan Santana limited the Giants to one run on eight hits over eight innings.
