NEW YORK, (UPI) -- Johan Santana went 7 2/3 innings and Jason Bay hit two home runs Sunday to help the New York Mets beat the New York Yankees 6-4.

Santana (4-2) got the win, allowing one run on six hits and three walks while striking out five.

Yankees starter CC Sabathia (4-3) took the loss after allowing six runs on 10 hits. Sabathia has gone four starts without a win.

Francisco Rodriguez picked up his eighth save after putting down an uprising that saw the Yankees score three runs in the ninth. With Alex Rodriguez at the plate representing the potential go-ahead run, Francisco Rodriguez struck out the Yankees slugger to preserve the victory for the Mets.

Bay finished with three RBI and Alex Cora drove in two for the Mets, who took two straight after dropping the series opener to the Yankees, who lost for the fifth time in their last five games.
