OAKLAND, Calif., Kevin Kouzmanoff's RBI single in the bottom of the 10th inning Tuesday gave the Oakland Athletics

a 5-4 win over Boston.

Kouzmanoff and Jack Cust both had a pair of RBI for the A's, who have won six of their last seven games. Daric Barton posted two hits and two runs scored, including the game-winner.

Andrew Bailey (1-3) pitched the final two innings to get the win. Bailey, the last of six pitchers to see action in the game, allowed one hit and one walk.

Tim Wakefield started for Boston and gave up four runs on three hits over six innings. Ramon Ramirez (0-1) took the loss with one run on one hit, two walks and a balk in 1 1/3 innings of relief.

Marco Scutaro finished with two hits, two runs scored and an RBI for the Red Sox.

Boston held a 4-0 lead after two innings but Oakland scored four in the third. The score remained deadlocked until the 10th.
