PHILADELPHIA, (UPI) -- Jamie Moyer hurled a complete game and Ryan Howard drove in the go-ahead runs Saturday in the Philadelphia Phillies' 6-2 win over San Diego.
The 47-year-old Moyer (6-5) allowed two runs on seven hits over nine innings, joining Phil Niekro and Jack Quinn as the only pitchers in history to notch 100 wins past age 40. The victory broke a three-game losing streak for the veteran left-hander.
Howard's two-run double in the third inning helped erase a 2-0 San Diego lead and put the Phillies up 3-2.
Jason Werth hit a two-run homer and Chase Utley and Raul Ibanez added Philadelphia's other RBI.
Jon Garland (6-3) absorbed the loss for the Padres, yielding six runs on 10 hits over seven innings.
Yorvit Torrealba hit a run-scoring double for San Diego.
