SAN DIEGO, Yorvit Torrealba drove in four runs and Adrian Gonzalez hit a tie-breaking homer Saturday in the San Diego Padres' 8-5 victory over Arizona.
Torrealba smacked a two-run shot in the third inning and Gonzalez's solo blast in the fifth put the Padres ahead for good at 5-4, sending first-place San Diego to its third straight win.
Jerry Hairston Jr. and Tony Gwynn Jr. also went deep for the Padres.
Clayton Richard (7-4) got the win despite allowing five runs on nine hits over 6 1/3 innings. Heath Bell notched his 25th save with a scoreless ninth.
Rodrigo Lopez (5-8) was saddled with the loss for Arizona, surrendering six runs on six hits over six innings.
Chris Young went 3-for-5 with a homer for the Diamondbacks.
