PHOENIX, (UPI) -- Jose Bautista homered and drove in four runs and Edwin Encarnacion added a two-run shot Sunday in the Toronto Blue Jays' 12-4 rout of Arizona.

Bautista stroked a two-run single in the third to put the Blue Jays up 2-1 and later bashed a two-run round-tripper for a 5-2 advantage, enabling Toronto to salvage one contest of a three-game inter-league series.

Encarnacion's dinger came as part of a five-run fifth inning, during which Jose Molina added an RBI single, one of three hits on the day for the Blue Jays' catcher.

John McDonald got two hits and drove in a pair of runs and starter Shaun Marcum (4-1) helped his own cause with a run-scoring double. Marcum lasted five innings, yielding three runs on six hits while walking only one and striking out eight.

Diamondbacks starter Billy Buckner (0-2) was pounded for eight runs on 11 hits in just four innings.

Chris Young got a solo homer and drove in two runs for Arizona in the loss.
