CARSON, Calif., (UPI) -- Jovan Kirovski scored twice in the first half Saturday to help boost the Los Angeles Galaxy to a 4-1 win over Houston.

Kirovski got the Galaxy (10-0-2) off to a quick start, scoring in the first minute when he headed home a cross from Sean Franklin for his second marker of the season.

After Houston's Cam Weaver knotted the score, Kirovski struck again in the 21st minute. Franklin sent a low crossing pass to a wide-open Kirovski, who put the ball into the bottom-left corner from 12 yards to give the Galaxy a lead they wouldn't relinquish.

Tristan Bowen and Alex Cazumba added second-half markers for Los Angeles.

Houston (5-7-1) was at least able to snap the Galaxy's five-game shutout streak.
