Murder alleged in Muscowpetung death

A 25-year-old woman has been charged with second-degree murder in the death of a man whose body was found in his home on the Muscowpetung First Nation Jan. 12.

Seanna Rae Nahnepowisk, who police say is also from Muscowpetung, was charged Tuesday and has made an appearance in court in Regina. Her next appearance is set for court in Fort Qu'Appelle, which is closer to Muscowpetung.

No other details about the case were released.

Nahnepowisk is accused of killing Wendell Scott Toto, 40.

Toto was found by his brother who had been trying to contact him throughout the morning, police said in a previous release.

The Muscowpetung First Nation is about 75 kilometres northeast of Regina.
