BOSTON, -- Glen Davis touched off a key fourth-period run Thursday that led the Boston Celtics to their 12th straight victory, a 102-90 decision over Atlanta.
Both Davis and Ray Allen scored 18 points for the Celtics, whose last loss came Nov. 21 at Toronto. Boston ran its record to 21-4, best in the Eastern Conference and second only to San Antonio in all of the NBA.
The Hawks were within 77-76 with 10:15 remaining in the final period but Davis hit a layup that opened a 14-5 streak. Paul Pierce added 15 points one night after he hit the game-winning shot with .4 of a second remaining in New York.
Boston was without Rajon Rondo, who Boston President of Basketball Operations Danny Ainge said earlier in the day would miss "a couple of weeks" with a sprained ankle.
Marvin Williams scored 26 points for the Hawks, who lost despite shooting 62 percent from the floor in the second half.
