DENVER, -- Carmelo Anthony had 32 points and 13 rebounds Thursday and the Denver Nuggets wiped out a 14-point deficit to beat the Los Angeles Lakers 118-112.
It was the first loss of the season after eight straight wins for the Lakers.
Nene scored 18 for Denver and Ty Lawson came off the bench to score 17 points -- 11 of them during a fourth-quarter surge when the Nuggets charged into the lead. Denver outscored LA 33-19 in the fourth quarter.
The win ended a two-game losing streak for Denver.
Kobe Bryant led the Lakers with 34 points.
The LA loss leaves the 7-0 New Orleans Hornets as the last remaining undefeated team in the NBA.
