Power dominates in Sonoma IndyCar win
ONOMA, Calif., Will Power dominated the Grand Prix of Sonoma Sunday, one year after a serious crash there nearly ended his IndyCar career.

Power, the pole sitter, led for all but two of the 75 laps, yielding the top spot only when he went to the pits for the second and final time under the green flag. Power easily passed Scott Dixon after Dixon exited the pits two laps after Power's stop.

The race came down to a six-lap sprint at the end after a caution was issued for an incident involving E.J. Viso and Bertrand Baguette. Power eventually put some distance between he and Dixon and finished 0.74 seconds ahead for his fifth IndyCar win this season.

Dario Franchitti finished third, and Power's Penske teammates Ryan Briscoe and Helio Castroneves came in fourth and fifth, respectively.

Power suffered two broken vertebrae and a concussion last year during a practice run at Sonoma.
